Eminem Unchanged in Nicki Minaj’s Roman’s Revenge
Categories: music

I was at Club Boi, a gay club in Miami, a few weeks ago. I was bored when Nicki Miinaj’s “Roman’s Revenge” featuring Eminem started playing. The crowed went wild and seemed to be singing along with every line of the song.

Now I haven’t read the words of this song but I did hear Eminem say something like “…blah blah blah… FAGGOTS…blah blah blah… NO HOMO.”

It was really weird seeing gay men sing along to this.

I don’t know and frankly I don’t care if what Eminem said was homophobic, ironic, not funny, anti-tranny, or whatever. Freedom of speech is a good thing and he can say whatever he wants.

I kind of liked Eminem when his first album was released. Gays everywhere were protesting her but for some reason I liked his energy or something. I have no idea why I liked it. I just did.

On “Roman’s Revenge,” however, Eminem just sounds like a whiny little baby complaining about the same thing he’s been complaining about for years; Whiny tone, rambling along about nothing. It’s just pathetic.

“Roman’s Revenge” is catchy I must admit, but I think the Eminem makes Nicki Minaj seem foolish in addition to showing Eminem’s complete lack of professional or personal growth.

There is a new version with Lil Wayne instead of Eminem. Supposedly it’s better. I had the same issue with this song though. It’s pathetic to hear a man nearing 40 bitching about the same things that he was bitching about in his mid-20s.
