Just to let you know- while google finally did reinstate my gmail account late Saturday, they did not fully reinstate my google plus account. They re-enabled my account only to the extent that I can log into it but I cannot post anything at all.

This is of course shitty because it makes my gplus friends able to contact me but I cannot contact them back, giving the impression that I am ignoring them. It would have been better for them to fully disable my gplus account while leaving my other gmail services intact.

This is just more evidence that google doesn’t know what they fuck they are doing. They are behaving negligently, unaware of how their inconsistent manipulation of people’s accounts with no consistency or communication, affects people’s livelihood.

This should be a lesson to everyone that Google is very very dangerous.

You have been warned. Don’t wait until it happens to you.

I’m so glad that I didn’t fully switch over to google voice as I was planning to when I moved next week. Can you imagine? Google doesn’t like what you post on google plus so you can’t use your phone any more… your “unified inbox.”

I see no need to engage google in dialogue about this. They have gone insane.

In a for-profit healthcare system, such as the one we have now, private insurance companies only insure people with whom they can earn a profit. Therefore, they will not insure high-risk customers.

In such a situation the high-risk patie
nts will be forced into joining the high-risk pool provided by the government.

Since the low risk pool belongs to private industry and the high risk pool belongs to the government, this means the government will go even more broke while private industry gets richer.

Now i know Americans are mostly incapable of critical thought due to a horrible educational system among other reasons. But, isn’t there some way to to get this point across to the masses?

How is it that politicians are able to get away with saying that “Obamacare” is too expensive? Aren’t people making these arguments against them?

What an insult to the American people. Republicans take over the house because Americans were stupid enough to believe they could find us jobs and instead we get this WORTHLESS PILE OF SHIT. They don’t even try to make sense. It basically says to get more jobs we have to destroy government regulation and the environment with it.

I hate republicans and I hate YOU if you are one. This *IS* personal. You are trying to kill my world and I HATE you.

My issue is this: Have you looked at the game section of the APP store lately? There are hundreds if not thousands of FPS (First Person Shooter) games that train kids how to kill things. These are the same types of tools that our Army uses to train soldiers how to kill people.

Does this really make sense? It’s OK to sell apps that desensitize children to murder and death in general but they can’t look at a picture of two people having sex or of a simple naked person.

But it will not be just about Bush. It will also be about The Supreme Court: The Court in 2000 which stopped the democratic process by ordering Florida to stop counting the ballots; The Court which in 2010 (or was it late ’09?) gave our democracy away to foreign countries and as Obama said in his State of the Union address, even to our enemies,

After the 2000 court decision I remember visualizing the crack in The Liberty Bell which I was taken to see on a field trip as a child. The Liberty Bell’s crack, however, meant the opposite of what had just happened, though. My mother explained to me at the time that the bell cracked because people were so happy to have gained independance that they rang the bell so hard that it cracked. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but that’s what my mother told me and I like the story.

This time the crack is literal.

So now corporations have even more control thanks to the court whose majority was created by Republican presidents. These corporations will make it more likely for more Republicans to win which will secure even more rights for corporation and less rights for people.

In this country, corporations have the same rights as citizens. This “corporate personhood” is ridiculous and causes corporations to run this country instead of its people.

Corporate personhood needs to end now.

Time figure out how to stop these corporations from being evil. Legislators are as useful as penis pimples in doing this since they rely on corporate money to get elected.

It should be pretty obvious to anyone with sense, that political party has little effect on the impact that corporations have on America’s government. So why not use that to our advantage, and stop blaming politicans, and focus blame on the CEO’s instead?

Before we even try to fix healthcare we need to fix the corporate influence problem. I don’t think many citizens, whether Republican or Democrat, would disagree with the notion that corporations have way too much power on Government.

So forget about social issues for a while- and all those things we differ on and just focus on this. Then, when corporate influence is where it should be, we will have a level playing field and can then make our society run the way WE THE PEOPLE want it to run, and not the way non human profit-driven corporations would have it.

By buying all this crap you will be fulfilling your patriot duty as a consumer. (You are not a citizen, just a consumer). As a result of all this new production in China, we will be dumb enough to buy the new devices with money we don’t have (credit) since we are dumb and unemployed here. This will increase the consumer credit bubble and eventually make it burst, making the “downturn’ even worse. But by then it will have a new name that sounds even nicer than a downturn.

Also, while all this excessive production damages the economy, it will also help to destroy the environment by reinventing technology (Television) which does not need reinvention, thus causing more toxic garbage and toxic waste, not to mention pollution from the factories.

Not to worry, though. You will soon be able to watch greenwashing commercials from BP and Shell in 3D describing how great they are doing talking about words that end in -ility.

If we blame the politicians, it gets us nowhere. Just about all of them are corporate sell-outs. It seems to me that the corporations (lobbyists) are strong arming these politicians pretty hard to get them to obey them over their constituents. Who knows what’s really going on? Are the corps. threatening politicians with something other than campaign funding? It certainly seems to be within the realm of possibility.

But then the American people are just as to blame as the pols- at least many millions of them are.

So yeah it’s easy and perhaps fair to blame the politicians and the American people, but Is there a common denominator?

Yes, The corporations are to blame. They’re behind all of the influencing of the politicians and the brainwashing of the American public through advertising, PR, bad TV shows, and fake news.

Corporations are to blame. Their influence is too powerful. Expecting the pols to loose this influence is like expecting inner city youth to get straight A’s and get 1200 SAT scores without changing their schools, parents, or environment.

The corporations- and I mean the ones being evil, which is not all of them- need to be stopped.

That’s the problem. (I think). So how can these huge things be stopped legally and ethically? There’s something to ponder.

I could be way off here- so feel free to disagree or say whatever you want in the comments. LIke I wrote up there. I’m just trying to figure it all out.

Yesterday the Orifice of the Postmaster General finally replied to my query of last week. Below is their email to me and my response to their response.

Dear Mr. MacCloskey,

Two more mail delivery times have passed since you sent me this email and I have still not received any of my mail. Additionally, I have contacted the number for my local Consumer Affairs Office that you gave me below and the line is disconnected.

More than two weeks have passed since I have received my mail properly from the USPS and I have missed many important pieces of mail. Additionally, your agency has notified some of my utilities that I have moved house permanently and these utilities now think I live somewhere else.

My next step is to contact my representatives in Washington D.C, since apparently even The Office of the Postmaster General itself is unable to resolve my mail delivery problem.. I will be doing this tomorrow (Thursday) Morning. I would appreciate it if you would please email me right away with a list of all the steps you have taken to resolve my mail delivery problem thus far.

If you do not respond before I contact my representatives in Washington, I will assume that you have not taken any actions to resolve this very serious issue. I will gladly discuss this matter over the telephone with you if you call me at my number listed below.

UPDATE: Situation (apparently) resolved by Chicago Post Office HQ. All they had to do was make a change in the computer but it takes upper management to get that.

I had read about this on Consumerist.com, but was skeptical. Now, I have experienced it first hand and believe that Netflix does this wait-and-switch on purpose. It’s really a stupid and short-sighted business practice.

I really hate when corporations act in such a way that makes it obvious they think their customers are complete morons.

Good riddance, Netflix!

P.S. In their automated response to my cancellation, they told me to return the movies I was supposed to have received two days ago! That’s chutzpah.

UPDATE: It turns out this problem is 100% due do my local post office not delivering ANY of my mail. Sorry about that, Netflix.

Anyway, I think that Ahmadinejad is in many ways a mirror for Bush. He is laughably stupid, insanely religious and has a retarded face, just like Bush. THe both share a fondness for executions and a hatred for homosexuals.

It’s a shame we really don’t have the moral high ground to tell him that executions are a human rights violation. Heck, we don’t even tell China not to kill yoga practitioners for their organs, and as far as I know, we don’t do that ourselves.
