You tell them to buy all this shit that you make and they give you their money so they can have those things. Then they are broke and when they try to get an education to pay for all the shit you made them buy, guess what, they can’t afford it. You make it harder and harder for them to play by your rules. You can’t just keep fucking with people and expect them not to react.

Until yesterday, I thought Americans would never react to this injustice being done. Now, I think it’s inevitable. A whole different kind of horror.

You’ll probably go into denial upon reading this. That’s fine, but please just do remember that I told you so. It’s important to me as I am quite shallow.

See the thing is- what the British rioters have done is they’ve made it conceivable. Americans seeing the British do this means that it’s feasible now- they can picture it happening where as before it was inconceivable… a reaction… a revolution. The world changed yesterday. This is VERY big and the US needs do so something BIG NOW to address the concerns of all the potential rioters here. Warhoop.

Just to let you know- while google finally did reinstate my gmail account late Saturday, they did not fully reinstate my google plus account. They re-enabled my account only to the extent that I can log into it but I cannot post anything at all.

This is of course shitty because it makes my gplus friends able to contact me but I cannot contact them back, giving the impression that I am ignoring them. It would have been better for them to fully disable my gplus account while leaving my other gmail services intact.

This is just more evidence that google doesn’t know what they fuck they are doing. They are behaving negligently, unaware of how their inconsistent manipulation of people’s accounts with no consistency or communication, affects people’s livelihood.

This should be a lesson to everyone that Google is very very dangerous.

You have been warned. Don’t wait until it happens to you.

I’m so glad that I didn’t fully switch over to google voice as I was planning to when I moved next week. Can you imagine? Google doesn’t like what you post on google plus so you can’t use your phone any more… your “unified inbox.”

I see no need to engage google in dialogue about this. They have gone insane.

unpostable last google+ post

This will be my last post on Google+. This morning google cancelled my account for an unspecified TOS violation. This would have been upsetting but not the end of the world. What was the end of the world, however, was that they also disabled my gmail account, and all other gmail services for my bloatedlesbianjew email address. Not only that, but they offered no opportunity for redress other than a silly comment form that nobody reads.

They finally reactivated my gmail after several hours and me complaining to some very vocal tweeters such as Violet Blue and Skud, but the did so with no explanation, apology or anything.

During the time, my email was blocked, gmail didn’t even send a bounce notification to the senders of my email telling them that my account was inactive.

I am furious with google’s negligence. I will come up with harsher words after I come back from a trip this weekend.

My advice to everyone on google:
1) back up everything
2) have a down time plan if all google services go out
3) think for yourself.

At least I no longer have to figure out how to fit Google+ into my life. It doesn’t.

MORE REASON TO DITCH THE PRIVATE WEB AND GO BACK TO THE PUBLIC WEB!

it’s a collosal fuck up by apple. it’s not a work in progress. it’s just a giant turd. it’s a mess. it’s slow clunky, imprecise, and barely useable.

I’m using it on a 17″ 2011 MBP 2.3 quad core i7 and it’s still CLUNKY.

Apple needs to flush this turd and rewrite the REAL FCP in cocoa.

It’s like there are two parallel universes: The one where there are rich people and investors and the one comprised of millions of middle class and poor people.

The media buys into the notion that only the rich universe matters, and I don’t even think they realize they’re doing it. So many unquestioned assumptions!

You cannot do audio only transitions in FCPX. There is a work around:

For me this is a deal breaker. I use audio only transitions way to often to have to do this work-around. I even had to delete an almost finished edit and start over in FCP7 because it took less time than to do the work around.

In a for-profit healthcare system, such as the one we have now, private insurance companies only insure people with whom they can earn a profit. Therefore, they will not insure high-risk customers.

Because of this I feel the need to un-recommend Godaddy. If you don’t know why, just google Bob Parsons elephant killing and you will understand. The man is a pig, as if the name of the company is not enough evidence of that.

Plus, their advertising is annoying as hell and excessive. And, I’m tired of their skanky models. Godaddy projects an image of a company that unapologetically objectifies women. It also, through the help of Blob Parsons, exudes an air of man’s superiority over the environment.

I should have done this a long time ago. Godaddy is disgusting.

Capitalism is great. I can pay my bills if I make porn. When I try to do something of social value, it’s expected of me to do it for free or barely anything.

People have told me, “Make a DVD. Make tee shirts.” First of all, I tried it. Secondly, It’s insulting. I don’t make shit. We don’t need more shit.

I’m not done podcasting. I miss it. I find the lack of a purposeful artistic outlet somewhat depressing.

I remain committed to ETHS and to Live shows when I can. Those involve commitments to other people which I value.

I keep telling myself once I catch up with this and that, I’ll do a solo show, but I don’t get caught up. Then, once I do, I want to relax and watch Fringe or something.

Podcasting is important to me, but it’s still work. In this economic system which I find myself, my kind of work is not rewarded, and sometimes it’s even punished! The whole system needs to change.

I try to tell people to give a shit about shit and they reply with sociological reasons why people don’t give a shit in America.

Then I see someone post about the reaction to justin bieber’s haircut and I feel like I can’t go on.

Queens get more emotional about defending Lady GaGa then they do about genocide in Lybia.

Americans fight against healthcare, but we have three years shorter life expectancy than Canadians who have socialized medicine.

The solution is so far from this current reality, I can’t picture it, though recent events in the middle east and Wisconsin have given me some hope. Not hope as a brand used to sell more shit to me, but real hope for change I can’t even imagine.
